Did you get the dealer to order a new seat?

Re: Seat wear at 12,000 miles

Yes, they ordered a new bottom cushion cover. I'm concerned about having the seat back cover replaced because I know the airbag tag is there?

I am not saying you are over weight by any means since I do not know you, but obviously the more weight being dragged against it the worse the wear will be. I have never had a car that has shown wear on the seats, but that is because I do not drag my body across the side bolsters. I basically go over them then sit straight down. My seats in my daily driver 2007 Acura TL-S with 67,000 miles look literally brand new. So unfortunately, your going to have the change how you get in and out to fix that problem. Hope this helps.

You must have some long ass legs cause even in access mode I can’t go over the bolsters. I’m sure your vette and Acura are low enough to sit “down” in but in a SUV…that is tough unless you have nerf bars. The Jeep bolsters are some of the smallest I've had in a vehicle.

Re: Seat wear at 12,000 miles

I have the same problem, only mine is worse. Jeep is 6 and 1/2 months old. I have almost 14,000 miles on my Overland with Saddle interior. I get in/out once in the morning and in/out once in the evening after work. I DO lower it before I get out. It HAS the chrome tubular side steps. I've had many vehicles in my 40 years of driving of which the last 25 years I've had leather. Lexol is my treatment of choice. This is a case of poor dye in the leather. I'm just not sure I want to mess with the dealer, get a new seat cover and have it happen all over again. I'll just redye it before I trade/sell. Other than that I love my V8 4x4 Overland (Stone White)
