Self leveling shock or not

Do wk2 diesel powered GC come to Australia with self levelling shocks? If so how do I know?

If you read the March/April edition of Jeep Action, the GC including the ones in Aus, use Nivomat self-levelling shocks. These shocks are fitted to all GC's excluding Laredo Petrol, SRT and any model fitted with the Air Suspension system. These shocks need movement to create mechanical energy.


However, after reading the article I checked mine and I have Hitachi Gas filled struts.. So I'd say just look at your struts to see if they are Hitachi or not...

Interesting... given it's widely thought that all non-Quadralift are SLS. I've promoted the myth at least once..

In USA in 2011 MY self-leveling shocks were a part of factory towing package, which makes sense when you think about it.

So I guess if you have factory towing package there is a good chance you have them.
