Shaking, shuddering, then check engine light at 8K miles
Yesterday I was 10 seconds into my trip to the grocery store when I felt the whole vehicle shuddering and shaking. I was going about 10MPH. First I briefly thought it was the road surface, but then I turned off the radio and quickly realized it wasn't; the check engine light then started flashing and the engine sounded like it was about to die and struggling to stay alive and running.
Of course, this happened about 5 minutes after my dealership's service department closed, and they don't re-open until tomorrow.
This is a 2014 V6 with a little under 8K miles on it. Any ideas? Also, is it safe to drive the 5 minutes to my dealership or should I insist they tow it? When I turned around to park it again it had stopped the shuddering but I'd still be afraid of it happening again and either dying in the middle of the road during the trip, or having more damage caused.
