Re: Shut Off Seat Belt Warning

I didn't have to wait or open/close the door when I retried 3 times.

Get in the car keep your foot off the brake pedal!
Buckle your seat belt
push start
push start again
Unbuckle your belt
Buckle your belt
Unbuckle your belt
Buckle your belt
Unbuckle your belt
Buckle your belt
Unbuckle your belt
Buckle your belt
Leave it buckled and push start

You should here a single chime if you did it correctly on the last step

No, don't have to, but it is the default reset process for the system to ensure you are starting from fresh if having troubles.

Re: Shut Off Seat Belt Warning

I get the single chime at the end of the procedure, but the reminder alarm is still present.

Re: Shut Off Seat Belt Warning

You should still get one chime to remind, then it stops, so not the constant one.

Re: Shut Off Seat Belt Warning

It worked for my 14 overland. Waiting the 60 seconds is key if you screw up. No one to get in the passenger seat right now so my question is, does disabling the driver side automatically shut it off for both sides?

Never mind, it shuts it off for both sides.

4. Wait for red seat belt light to turn off.
5. Unbuckle and rebuckle seat belt at least 3 times ending with seatbelt buckled. ( I unbuckled and rebuckled 4 times and it worked)
6. Push the push start button (turns off display). You will hear a single chime if you succeeded.
Thanks, worked like a charm on my 2014 Wrangler, will do my 2014 GC next.

My husband found that video on YouTube and tried it on my 2017 wrangler and it didn't work. I wear my seat belt but he hates to unless we're traveling a long ways.
