Silly Question: Disengage Turn Signal?

Minor gripe, hopefully with a no-brainer solution:

When I hit the turn signal in my WK2 for a "slight turn", occasionally I do not get enough steering wheel movement to disengage the turn-signal upon completing the turn.

On my 3 prior Jeeps, a quick tap on the lever in the opposite direction would disengage the turn signal.

In my WK2, that same tap only engages the turn signal in the opposite direction. There seems no way to disengage without using the steering wheel.

Any suggestions? Am I missing something obvious??

Re: Silly Question: Disengage Turn Signal?

The GC now has a one touch, 3 blink flasher/indicator like many European cars. So yes, when turning it off manually, if the stalk is pushed too far in the opposite direction, then the indicator will flash three times for the direction it was pushed.

The 3 flash system is really for lane changes but for mild curves (ramp exits) you may want to use that also.

Re: Silly Question: Disengage Turn Signal?

Mine will cancel the signal with an opposite movement of the stalk, but you have to be gentle and use only the minimum movement that is required.

In my WK2, returning the stalk to the center detent turns off the signal.

Re: Silly Question: Disengage Turn Signal?

So does mine.

Just FYI, on my previous car (BMW), I had to push the stick to the SAME direction again to disengage the signal.
