SLOW tire leak

I've got a 2014 Overland that has had a slow tire leak just about since I bought it. It has gotten considerably worse this winter with colder weather. I've taken it in to the dealer several times and they of course say they can't find a leak. Essentially giving me the feeling of hey, just deal with it which has been terrible service in my opinion. They haven't offered to help find a fix. What is your thought, I feel as though it should be replaced under warranty or a defective tire. They told me its rare for a defective tire. At this point I'm tolerating the BS a little too long, a $55k car shouldn't have a tire leak that I have to deal with. Thoughts?

Re: SLOW tire leak

Take it to a reputable tire shop. Have they removed the tire from the rim, or simply said "NTF"? It could be the valve stem, poor seal, or foreign object. I had the same awhile back, and had it fixed at a local shop. I hate going to a dealer. I'd rather pay $25 for a flat repair vs, wasting a half of day at a dealer.

Re: SLOW tire leak

I've had to both a tire shop and dealer. It's been off the rim, value checked, seal etc. They can't find it. Appear to be no punctures.

Re: SLOW tire leak

I had a phantom leak a few years ago that would lose about a pound every couple of days. Had it to the dealer and a couple of tire shops, no love. Finally took it back to the dealer in a very frustrated state of mind and said fix it or replace it. I didn't care if I had to pay at this point. They gave it to an old timer with a lot of patience who took it off the wheel again and spent quite a while just feeling the inside of the tire. He eventually found a very small piece of metal, like a staple that had penetrated the tire between the treads. He showed me, and I couldn't see it, but could just barely feel it. He pulled it out and put a patch on the inside of the tire. It never leaked again. Good luck to you!
