Interesting, using remote start mine stays in Off Road 2- have done that multiple times in past few days....

I agree. If you can't get maximum lift out of your QL while in snow mode, that's a major oversight. Driving in deep snow is often dependent upon ground clearance.

Re: Snow Mode with Quadra Lift Issue

Sounds like a software tweak is needed to add some common sense for use in heavy snow.

You can set it at maximum height in Snow mode. PERIOD. Speed must remain below 25MPH or it drops to OR 1 height.

When the WK2 is turned off, it resets to AUTO terrain mode, if it's been set to some other mode. Each terrain mode has a default ride height, so if you're in Snow mode, and set at OR 2 height, then shut off and restart the WK2 will switch to AUTO, and drop to normal ride height (since that is the default for AUTO mode).

If you're in AUTO, and set ride height to OR 2, then switch to SNOW, ride height drops to NRH (normal ride height) because that is it's default. Nothing prevents you from pressing the button to get OR 2 height in SNOW mode.

If you're in AUTO already, and set the height to OR 2, then shut the WK2 off, when it restarts it will maintain the same height becuase the mode wasn't changed.

So before people start screaming, all you have to do is switch to SNOW mode, select OR 2 height and stay below 26MPH.

What exactly is so 'defective' about that?

Re: Snow Mode with Quadra Lift Issue

^Thanks GG. If others are really driving at speed in more than 10" of snow, then I'll have to reconsider the next rescue gesture and instead go get first tracks.

GG's explanation matches my experience also.

Re: Snow Mode with Quadra Lift Issue

My experience in deep snow was that mud/sand mode worked better for busting drifts and snow banks. I tried in snow mode but without tire spin I was stuck before I got very far.

I was impressed though at the ability to go through the snow with the tires on it. My only complaint was I was off road, and in ORII setting of the suspension, there isn't any room left for the wheels to drop into holes and dips.....everytime I would hit one the suspension would "top" out.....this sounded awful.
