So I had this popping/clunk noise from the front end

Had a really powerful pop/clunk noise from the front end. I could feel it through the floor when it would happen. Took her into the dealer

The problem was caused by a loose camber bolt from my alignment performed by the dealer a little over a month ago. Doh! Egg on face.

Is there anything that could have been damaged by this? Anything I need to keep an eye on?

Re: So I had this popping/clunk noise from the front end

I'd see if you can talk them into a free alignment check and realignment in 6 months to a year, see if it holds or not. Worse case they would need to replace the eccentric bolt/cam thingamajig if it moved around enough to wear or deform.

Re: So I had this popping/clunk noise from the front end

The lower control arm bolts themselves are pretty stout. Being the limited range of motion available in the lower control arms, I highly doubt any damage was caused.
