Software upgrades?

So.. i own a 2014 limited and one thing that has always made me crazy is that it defaults to ECO mode.. i just drove a customers 2015 overland and hers remembers the last setting used. My question is, does anyone know if i take it in for software upgrades will that upgrade it to remember settings?

P.S. after playing with the ride height stuff i am sooo glad i didnt get that..

Ice, curious as to why this drives you "crazy" Mine is the same and I never give it a second thought. Besides it's saving you fuel maybe not a lot around town but every bit helps.

I always turned Eco off on my 2014 V6 - I hated the shift points it used with it turned on. Ran like a dog around town.

My 2016 Hemi...I turned off Eco before I left the dealer lot on Monday and it hasn't been turned back on since (remembers the setting).

It comes in handy if you don't trust the fine folks at the dealership and oil lube places and prefer to change your own oil. Just raise it to the highest off road setting and it's easy to get under there and change it yourself. The easy exit feature is great for helping elderly parents get in and out of it.

Care to explain? quadra-lift is pretty damn sweet. Automatically lowers to exit/entry mode for ease of getting in/out and loading stuff, drops to "aero" height while at highways speeds (or in sport mode), raise it up to do an oil change or offroad, and it rides great....what's not to love?!?

I have the same system in my Ram 1500. I use it all the time and love it. It the best riding truck I've driven and the load leveling is awesome. After the Rambox bed it's my favorite option.

Can some one explain to me why my JGC waits to lower until after we have already exited? It will not lower until we have opened and closed our doors and are on the way into the house? Do I have a setting set wrong?

You could be stopping quickly from a higher speed which doesn't give it time to lower. According to the Owner's Manual:

Once the vehicle speed goes below 15 mph (24 km/h) the vehicle height will begin to lower.

No, that's not it...the compressor runs and lowers the vehicle about 30 sec after shutdown, even after pulling slowly into the garage....

Re: Software upgrades?

No, that's not right guys. Here is how the entry/exit height setting works.

So if you have the auto lower setting turned on, it will only begin to lower once you put the vehicle in park. That would be ridiculous if it automatically lowered below a certain speed. So you're saying it would lower at every stop light or in traffic? No.

So the jeep will only lower to entry/exit height once it's placed in park. Then, if you open the door while its lowering it will stop the lowering process. Then once door is closed again it will complete the lowering. So to have the vehicle fully lowered prior to getting out you either have to wait to open the door until it's done, or you can manually select to lower it while you're below 15mph that way the process has already begun and will likely be lowered by the time you're stopped and open the door.

What you're describing here sounds more like the suspension auto leveling itself than anything to do with entry/exit mode.
