Squeak/creak/rubbing sound coming from rear hatch glass latch area
I have been putting up with an annoying creak/squeak/rubbing sound from my rear glass for a while and I am fed up with it and I want to fix it.
It happens when going over small bumps in cooler temperatures, but has done it occasionally in warmer temperatures as well.
One time when I was driving and my buddy was in the back seat while it was happening, I asked him to reach back and press on the rear hatch to see if he could isolate the sound. When he put pressure on a certain spot, the sound stopped. It was the plastic panel on the inside of the rear hatch right where the latch mechanism is.
I looked it over quite a bit and there is plenty of grease in it. Is there any sort of rear hatch/hatch glass adjustment ability that might take care of it?
