Re: Stall after start

I was assigned a Chrysler Case Manager today. He told me that they would do everything they could to expedite the delivery of the TIPM. No ETA.

Just got off the phone with Chrysler .been assigned a case manager, was told tipm will not be available until after Sept 23, that means my wk2 hemi will be down for over 2 months. My rental has no trailering ability. No way to do any hauling which I need to be doing. They will not pay for my ability to trailer. this sux . Reason I purchased a wk2 hemi with trailering .

Re: Stall after start

My Service Manager has been calling me daily to tell me "still no ETA"
I guess that's better than no call at all...

Fingers crossed...
Did they authorize a rental vehicle for you?

Yes, I rented a compass starting Sat morning from enterprise and the chrysler person told me on monday that they will reimburse up to $35/day. Still pretty irritating that my gc is out of commission for my road trip this weekend but the compass will do.

I'm going to check back with them on Monday regarding the alleged 8/23 ship date, if that isn't firm by then I'm really starting to believe at least talking to a lawyer about the situation will be warranted. The "case manager" I have from chrysler seems totally unsympathetic to the whole situation.

Re: Stall after start

I don't think dealers or Chrysler know when tipm will be available Dealer says one thing Chrysler says something different. Dealer says Aug 22 factory says Sept 23 I have been at the dealer for one month today

That's good to hear. They put me in a 2014 Patriot - not even close to a GC, but at least I have wheels.

Re: Stall after start

I just got off of my daily phone call with my Dealer. He informed me that 600 TIPMs were released to the central parts department. They should start shipping any day now. He expects to have mine early next week.

Flocker, I'm really hoping your dealer is right because I do not like the rumors I am reading elsewhere. I have no idea as to the validity of these claims but what I have seen: the only supplier licensed to manufacture this part is going out of business, the 8/22 ship date came and went with no parts sent out, and chrysler is now giving the date as sometime in september.

I left a VM with my case manager today asking for a status update, hopefully I will hear back soon with the same news your dealer told you.
