Re: Staples in the fender flares? MYSTERY SOLVED!!!

Kind of funny, last night I was at Arrigo in Tamarac for a Jeep club meeting and my buddy was laughing at me as I checked a few grands, same report, none on untainted flares.. I hadn't read this yet, hey what are you doing in my neck of the woods?

As for the reasoning, honestly I find it pretty laughable that a vehicle at this level would use a paint technology of that caliber, coupled with varying staple placement, and a finish or lack of finish method that's so archaic, at least go with a removal that leaves no trace, like the one mentioned on ther SRT flares.. It's very American cheap. Many other manufacturers accomplish the same thing with a far better endgame than rusty staples left in parts.

So I am going to guess you aren't offended by my comment that this feels like a third world manufacturing effort. The fact that they manufacture the SRT using a different technique shows us where the dollar limit lies in finished product to get a car without staples ---- North of $50K...

Nonstop, Is Arrigo in West Palm where your meeting was held. They are suppose to have a used 2014 Gray Srt Jeep that I may be interested in. Have you seen it by any chance. I am in Orlando. Thanks for any info.

Nope, I was at Arrigo south in Tamarac. Sort of funny, we've had our meetings there through three owners of the property and since a little after it opened.

I walked the lot when I went to pick up my GC today and checked out a few 15's with unpainted flares... no staples.

maybe the unpainted ones are not in fact unpainted, just painted black.

or maybe a 'batch' all got staples added, and some got used on painted ones and some didn't, until someone realized hey we're wasting staples on ones that won't get painted anyway.
