Talk to them, handle it in house. The BBB is there to protect other customers from bad businesses, but come on, really over this type of an issue, it should 100% be able to solved in house.

Again, this is the interweb, this is my opinion, Before you report them, I would just suggest you see how else you can handle it personally
while I do agree with you for the most part, I can imagine how that conversation would go. You don't get the answer you're looking for from teh service manager so you go to the general manager. Because he's not a "tech" guy, he says, "I don't know how these things work, I'll have to ask the service manager". Endless loop.

Also, who is ultimately responsible for profits at the dealership? General Mgr.. Would it surprise you if the service manager was less than honest because he had been directed to charge for things like that?

Ultimately, he got what he wanted/deserved - a refund. At this point it's more about acting on principle. To that end, I can definitely relate. My wife & I just looked at a vehicle (non-Jeep, for her) and were given all of the old sleazy car salesman tricks. I walked out & will never do business with them again, but made a point to call back & talk to the GM, just to tell him that because of their tactics, I will never be back & I will tell everyone I know to avoid the place..

Re: Start/Stop button, legit or ripped off

Let's face it guys. Lots of dealers have been getting away with this kind of BS for years, due to ill-informed customers and dishonest business practices. With the Internet, its a new world now, and if the crooks want to try to continue this kind of practice, we just have to call them on it, demand that they correct their behaviour and if they do not, move on to the honest dealers. Its the only way to get these guys to clean up or put them out of business, which is no more than they deserve.

Rant mode off.

Just out of curiosity, if there is a Base Laredo without the Keyless Enter N Go, does it have the lock/unlock buttons on the door handles?

No. Keyless Enter-N-Go is part of the optional $1700 "E" package on the base Laredo model, Proximity Entry is also part of that package.
