Starter cranks but engine won't catch

In my 2011 Overland with hemi engine, today I punched the start button and listened to it crank but it never caught. Every other day for a year, it has started up immediately. It had an oil change at the dealer two weeks ago and they looked things over, finding e.g. a dirty air filter that we replaced.

I'll let it sit for a day and then I expect it will start up. Is there any point then in taking it in for service?

If it won't start I would think you'd have to take it in for service. Why do you it will start after sitting for a day?

The "No start" condition should have generated a trouble code. Let the dealer check it. If it happens at an inopportune time, such as when you are a distance from home, you will wish you had taken it in.

Because it felt like an intermittent problem. And, sure enough, it started up today with no trouble.

Thanks. I'll have it looked at.
