Re: Steaming Jeep

Went through car wash today. The rad gets soaked and steams quite a bit after the wash.

Exhaust also steams after starting on a cold day and when giving it hard throttle when still not fully warmed up.

Re: Steaming Jeep

I wondered about it being caused by the fan springing into action. I seem to get it before the vehicle has any hope of being warm. Goes away fast and usually happens when put in the garage wet the night before.

The first time I saw it, the '14 was nearly brand new. Scared the crap out of me 'cause I thought there was a radiator leak or worse. I shut down the engine. I've proven it it normal. Don't think a second thought about it.

Seen it on my 2011 and see it on my 2014 after I run through car wash.

Same here, after car wash from the front, must be the radiator.

Re: Steaming Jeep

mine does it almost every time after washing it. It goes away after a few miles of driving and the water evaps.

Re: Steaming Jeep

Happens to my 2012 every time I take it to the car wash, and I'm getting tired of people pointing out to me that my Jeep must be overheating.
