Strange dipstick reading

Hi all... Ok so I have a 2015 overland with 3200 miles time for an oil change. After draining oil and replacing the filter I put in the 7 quarts of oil just like the owners manual says only thing is when checking the dipstick it reads just below the add mark which would make it almost one quart low. I used 7 quarts of oil the same mopar filter and the dipstick is reading low. I mean is it safe to drive is it really low? If anyone has encountered this problem your feedback is much appreciated.
