Success getting replacement from Chrysler?

Have any of you, or anyone you’ve known had success getting Chrysler to replace a defective car? My Chrysler case manager tells me that they won’t replace my car until the law requires them to. Unfortunately, the laws in my state (GA), as I understand them, require 3 failed attempts to repair the same problem or 30 days out of service before arbitration can begin. My car has had many different problems but none addressed 3 times yet, and about 18 days out of service.

Have any of you had success when in my situation? If so, what did you do? Thanks.

There has been progrees, but it seems like one problem shows up about as soon as another if fixxed.

Some things have been fixed on the first attempt:

Misslaigned bumper

Non-functioning speedometer

ABS System failure message

4wd System failure message

Airbag failure message

Missaligned hatch handle (with a post-repair scratch added for good measure. Maybe should have left that one be)

Gap in headliner (sort of fixxed anyway)

Others took more attempts:

Steering bumps and thuds. Fixed on attempt 3, replaced intermediate shaft

AC not working with remote start, two visits required before software flash

Others Persist:

Rough Idle

Check Engine Light

Dramatic power loss w/ metallic noise from engine compartment (only happend once, dealer can't replicate but pretty darn scary. This one troubles me the most)

Warning light flicker in dahboard. Too quick to see which it is.

"Phone malfinuction, visit dealer" message

The loss of power thing is scary.

All the warns you listed was one issue and it probably isn't really fixed. There is a recall coming out next month which will be a software flash.

The phone message may require a new head unit (radio), but your dealer will need to get it approved. There is either a Star Case, or TSB on this.

The fix for the a/c not working with remote only came out recently.

It doesn't sound like a buy back is likely as most everything will probably fixed before that.

Of course if the loss of power thing happens again that could be a different ball game. I think something like that was the main reason one of the members here 'got a refund'.

Good luck!

Yeah, it's the engine issues that concern me the most. Since I haven't demonstrated the engine issues to the dealer (aside from a check engine light) they haven't taken any action to resolve them other than a test drive. I got a smartphone this weekend so I"ll be able to start getting video when it happens.

Any update on this? I'm kind of in the same boat. A bunch of small things, just time consuming going back and forth to the dealership.
