Summit seat memory recall issue

Lately when I get in the car with either fob one or two, about 50 % of the time the drivers seat will not react to the fob and go to the assigned seat setting....
Then when you do push one or two to send it there, it scrunches the seat all the way forward and turns both mirrors down like you are in reverse. It will do this with either fob. It will not go to your programmed seating setting period. You have to manually adjust the mirrors and seat back to normal practically every time you get in....

Then on other FEW occasions, you get in, and everything is normal. Seat goes to proper place and mirrors stay normal... But this is like 1 out of 5 entries into the vehicle...

Do the seat memories need to be cleared and re programmed? Could the batteries be bad in the fobs? This thing with pointing the mirrors down and leaving them down (Even in drive) is totally new... I am at 40 K miles, but I do have Maxcare warranty....

Any one ever have or fix this problem? Have had all updates including shifter update.....

Re: Summit seat memory recall issue

So I'm having this problem last night when I picked it up at the dealer and today. It's pissing me off.

Hi Stbentoak,

If you look at pages 157-160 in the owner's manual (Jeep Owners | Download an Owners Manual 2004 - 2011 | Jeep), you can try re-programming the seat memories to see if that will fix the concern you're describing. If that does not work, please let me know, and I can make an appointment at your dealership to figure out why the memory is not working.
