Not trying to be an alarmest but to those like me who have had this recall done, looks like another recall coming...hmmm

Those that avoided it because you were worried that the fix was worse than problem....well, you own the day!

Before the recall a few people had wires that were disturbed when work was being done in that area. Now, everybody has wires that were disturbed by Jeep's ace mechanics. Hmm, we're surprised there is a problem?

And someone just posted on a related thread that a blog said a fuse might be the fix for the fix?

A fuse would just be a workaround for an incomplete fix. The fuse hopefully blows before any fires start, but then you have to get the wiring fixed.

Yeah, pretty much a fuse is like taking Zinc before getting on an airplane in hopes of not getting the flu from someone. It may work, but it would be better not to be exposed to the flu at all.

Well, this is just super. I waited and waited then finally got it done (along with the fuel pump relay). Thinking it had been long enough to hear any negative repercussions, I puled the pin and had it all taken care of like a good little consumer.
While I have no "concern'about it, I use the GC to tow my race bikes a lot. Like 4000 miles a year a lot. With all the race fuel in the trailer the rig would likely be a total loss. Guess I'd have to add "Jeep" to my sponsor list after the settlement got paid

Re: Sun Visor Recall

Makes me feel good while I'm out in the middle of nowhere that the Jeep may spontaneously combust at any second.

They're making it harder and harder for me to want to keep this thing.
