Yeah, me too. I've tried 4 in town now, and they all did some damage. One chipped the paint off 3 of my SRT wheels while mounting and balancing new tires for me, then steadfastly denied it when I picked it up. Cost me over $600 to have the 3 refinished.

I am getting so when they work on mine I walk them around the vehicle to show them there is no damage PRIOR to the service and have them acknowledge it.

And I like my dealer, they are pretty good in general but this saves on arguments if something does arise.

Thank you. Now I know the items to check after they do this recall. Dealer has the part, but I'm going to wait a few months so they get more experience experimenting on other vehicles.

I would almost rather have a root canal done then have them touch my Jeep.

Re: Sun Visor Recall

You know its getting harder and harder to find a dealership that the service techs will take care of your vehicle. Sucks when you spend $40,000 + for a vehicle and then have a service department treat your vehicle that way.

I have a private mechanic that does great work, but his shop cant do warranty work...

The dealerships are concerned with the bottom dollar, understaffed and try to push things through too quickly and either things get missed or damaged.

I also love it up here in the winter when the vehicle has been sitting outside in -10 deg temps and they pull it in and start yanking on interior panels before they have a chance to warm up.

I hope to find a good Jeep/Chrysler shop to work with here closer to home, the dealership we bought my wifes 2015 Chrysler 200 at seems more interested in getting you out the door than helping resolve an issue. The dealership I am buying my JGC from is an hour away, so I am still searching.

Re: Sun Visor Recall

I can't believe how lucky I am in that my dealer takes care of my Jeep and I've had nothing like some of the horror stories I've heard here. The same dealer has a Mazda dealership adjoining it and they have also been very good with my MX5 (though it will start going to my private mechanic once it's out of warranty in October). The Jeep is another matter since it is so complex and I have the lifetime warranty on it, so I'm happy with this dealer even though it's on the other side of town from me.
