sun visor - retention clip very loose?

can you folks confirm that you're having the same issue (or is it just mine)?

My sun visor's retention clip (the one that unhooks so you can move the visor to the side) is extremely loose. The post barely clips in. When i have the visor in the down position, and go to rotate it upwards, it un hooks from the clip and becomes very hard to see out the front of the vehicle.

anyone else see this problem?

Re: sun visor - retention clip very loose?

Mine does it too, but I haven't really been bothered by it. The only thing that bothers me about the visors is that my wife, while in the passenger seat, will lower the visor despite the sun setting BEHIND us! Ha!

Re: sun visor - retention clip very loose?

Yep - The driver's side visor readily pops out while the passengers does not. I noticed it a while back but rarely use it so hasn't been annoying. Look to see if you passenger's side is loose or tight.

Same problem here. Also unhooks when I lower it.

Re: sun visor - retention clip very loose?

I notice this as well. In most cars i usually use my right hand and pivot it back up, but in the jeep it causes it to pop out and then can obstruct my view briefly. Pretty annoying.

And dangerous.

I found that if you use your left hand, and flip up from the left side it works better. Oh well.

Re: sun visor - retention clip very loose?

i've found that using your left hand on the left side of the visor all but eliminates the issue. not really a "fix" but at least an avoidance of the problem until a fix is available.

Re: sun visor - retention clip very loose?

My Limited is Feb. build and I do not have this problem. Just the opposite, it takes 2 hands to unclip either sun shade.
3600 miles and no problems (knock on genuine imitation wood trim).
