Re: Sunroof Leaking...

Sorry to hear about this issue guys.

I will be the first to inform you that a clogued drain tube can happen from a leaf, an acorn, etc etc....

However, based on the problems you are describing - the drain tube could be kinked; and sounds like a warranty issue they should replace all involved parts - including the headliner....

Re: Sunroof Leaking...

I'm tempted to blast a bit of compressed air down the drain tubes as a preventative measure, though no problems experienced here thus far.

That is a great idea. If it is a clogged drain tube that's kind of disappointing. After 2 months of ownership the tubes can get clogged? Sounds like a design flaw, now i'm hoping for a kinked tube...

Re: Sunroof Leaking...

I don't know what I would "hope" for, but I can tell you that I have done the compressed air "trick" on prior vehicles, and it helped. Take one of those blower nozzles, direct the air down the drain tube, blast away. However, if the drain tube is "kinked" then this will not fix your problem. The kinked drain tube is dealership/warranty territory.

Re: Sunroof Leaking...

Compressed air did nothing for my old ZJ. I pushed telephone wire in, this unclogged it.

Re: Sunroof Leaking...

Jury is in. I had a kink in one of the rear drain tubes. The rain has cleared for the time being, so no way to test. Just going to hope for the best. Thanks everyone for the help.
