Sunroof wind noise

Anyone have a problem with the sunroof making noise when going about 40 mph and up? 2014 summit. Drives me crazy. At first I thought it was coming from the trunk area but now I've pinpointed it to the sunroof. Haven't taken it to the dealer yet.

Sunroof wind noise

Mine is dead silent, but it's also an SRT. Any chance it's your luggage rack whistling?

Re: Sunroof wind noise

Is the sunroof positioned correctly when closed? May need reprogramming
there is a way to position/reprogram the sunroof by pushing the open/close/vent buttons in a particular sequence. this is done at the factory and sometimes need to be reentered. Milous posted the sequence and can be found on WK2Jeep.com. Not sure where but it is on this forum for sure.

Have no idea on the luggage rack! As far as programming, I will look. Does reprogramming only make the closure a little tighter?

Re: Sunroof wind noise

My Overland is absolutely quiet at all speeds. Crossbars are notorious for producing wind noise. If you have crossbars installed take them off and try it. Sometimes moving them to different positions can help.

Just throwing things out there. I had a Dodge Durango that had a loud rack on it especially if the cross bars were in a certain position. I ended up taking it off because it looked better without it and the noise disappeared.

Re: Sunroof wind noise

They could be what's causing the noise.

Re: Sunroof wind noise

Black jeep is the sunroof open? Assume yes. I'm getting a lot of noise with it open from the wind. It's not useable for me unless I open the rear windows

I just reread this and it sounds very pompous. I didn't mean it like it sounds. I only wanted to state that the luggage rack or lack of a luggage rack is different on the SRT.
