Telephone service needs to be serviced, contact dealership?

Has anyone got that message? It just happened twice today, had 9-11 service on the top. Scared the crap out of me. There is now a red light on right in between the assitance and 9-11 buttons on the rearview mirror. I am hoping it's just that sprint service is down or something like that.

I have always wondered if you didn't subscribe to anything if the 911 button would even do anything? Or the other button even?.....afraid to push them!

I believe it still works. I pushed it once by accident when cleaning the mirror, you still have to confirm.

Does anyone have a suggestion for this issue? Every morning on my way to work the clock freezes. Monday it froze at 7:44, Tuesday 7:30 and today at 7:45. After a few minutes, then the attached 9-11 Telephone error comes up. I reset the radio several times, via the "engineering" menu, and regular menu. The issue still comes back.

Any ideas? 2015 Altitude.

After carefully studying and reading that warning message at least seven times, I am quite confident that the best course of action would be to contact your dealer. Obviously, this is something amiss with the cellular component in the car.

The weird thing is it only happens in the morning. I just checked and it went back to normal. I will wait a few weeks and if it keeps happening I'll take it to the dealership. I even tried unregistering the vehicle from uconnect. I will try to re-install the latest update to see if that fixes it.

I would bring it in now. It might have generated an error code for the dealer to look at. Regardless, it should not do what it is doing, even if it is only in the morning.

IIRC, this was a problem with a number of MY '14 radios caused by a bad air card. To repair, the whole radio needed to be replaced.

I remember that issue ... that was "fun". 2 radios later, many visits to the dealer and couple of software fixes indeed fixed the issue for me.

I finally decided to take care of this since the clock freezes every day. Dealership says could not replicate problem. You have no idea how many dumb issues I have gone through with dealerships in NJ. After owning 4 Jeeps since 2006 I am finally ready to give up. How hard is it to understand that it is the clock that freezes, not the whole radio?
