Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

So far so good, but I only have 700 miles on my car so waitting for the 1k to change the oil and see what it tells me then.

As far as gas goes, I have the V8 hemi and I am getting 11.6 mpg. I dont go that far to work so it might be the turn on and turn off every 4.5miles (distance house to work. lucky that my trip is so short but hard on the cars)

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

What really boggles my mind - how can I be getting worse mileage than people with HEMI?

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

I've had a few small issues:

- Interior accent lighting on doors not working (Laredo X - Going in on Friday)
- There is a noise coming from what sounds like the rear diff...

It is hard to notice the sound unless the radio is off and usually happens when coasting at around 30km\h (20mph). Its a slight moan-like sound that I can reproduce and Jeep has acknowledged is there so hopefully they will find a fix on Friday. During my first visit they tried some kind of additive that went into the diff that seemed to help but has not fixed the issue. Anyone else have similar symptoms? Sport mode does seem to lessen the noise as well.

Other than these couple small items it has been a fantastic vehicle! and based on the great service I have recieved at the dealer to date I am not worried too much about fixing the sound.

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

The plastic cover thing in the center of the sunroof rattles on mine..but only when it's cold outside. Right now I have it wedged with paper until I adjust it or take it to the dealer. 10 days, 1200 miles.

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

Items with issues right now are as follows:

Rear flipper window glue on hinge (causing paint damage) came loose.
Wood trim from start button to center bezel bending out (heat related?)

Other than those two minor issues all is well. Still pissed off with the whole tire issue but that is a different thread.

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

1100 miles and only a tiny rattle in the height adj. for the seatbelt and the trim piece behind the steering wheel is not flush against the wood by the start button. Overall very impressed, almost too much luxury from my '06 SRT8 Jeep. Mileage is getting better as well, 13.5 city and got 21 mpg on a quick trip up to Denver, much better than the SRT.

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

Only a rattle in the headliner by the sunroof shade.. Goes away when the shade is open.

Haven't had the time or courage to take the headliner off to inspect what is going on with it yet. Surely won't have the dealership look at it as it will probably rattle even more after they get their hands on it!

Otherwise very pleased.. Too bad the Bwoody sway links don't come standard as the quality of my ride has improved vastly since the install last week!

Re: Things Gone Wrong Poll

1) cross rails whistled... This stopped when the dealer replaced original units. They did both the original and reinstallations. This is an add-on, so I guess it doesn't count

2) plastic molding on back of drivers seat is warped...exposing innards of seat from the top. They'll look into it in thr next couple of weeks at my 12K mile service.

In the HEMI, it's uncommon for me to beat 17mpg HWY, even without traffic... In the city, I usually do 10-13 mpg. but hey, it's LA traffic....
