I believe regular filler necks are protected, by size, from diesel pumps. Not the other way around, but it might leave it a bit loose.

Are you sure you don't have rental on your insurance? If you do, and they cover the loss, they should cover the rental.

I don't have rental. I have it on my warranty, but that's only for covered repairs. Oh well.

I had started to look into different cars. I guess if they manage to get it fixed I'll stick with it. I like my Jeep. It seems to be Chrysler that stinks.

Diesel and gas pump handles can easily be mistaken. Some stations use black for diesel, some green for diesel and have them on the same pump but different sides. Unfortunately, it is quite easy to stick gas in a diesel vehicle at regular retail pumps.
