Now back to the wheels, I am wondering if it is the low profile tires over inperfections in the pavement resonating through the steering shaft when braking with the extra weight over the front tires. Just wondering what others with this issue think of this theory.
I have the 17's and it does it. Seems to me its coming from the steering.

I just got my jeep back from the dealer. They test drove it, could not replicate. I satin the car with the dude, he still could not feel it after driving around for 20 minutes. They have no TSBs for anything of the sort. I guess for me its an intermittent issue as well, so unless someone else has some luck getting this fixed or it becomes worse - ill try not to worry about it.

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

I'm taking mine into the dealer on Friday for a couple of small trim issues and will have them check the small thud in the steering, as well as movement in the seatback. I'll post what they find.

I noticed it while off roading last weekend. But, only did it at highest QL setting, over rough terrain.

Thanks, that's what it felt like. As soon as I dropped it down a level it was much less severe.
