TIPM recall - long trips or not?

I'm having a travel conundrum. We have a trip planned from Denver, CO to San Diego, CA with our travel trailer this June. My wife is concerned about going with the TIPM issue now covering our '13 GC. I'm worried, but I don't think it should stop us unless our GC begins to show symptoms.

Would you take the "risk" of a trip like this given the known issue and potential interruption and ensuing hassle?

I personally would "risk" going since your vehicle hadn't even shown any symptoms. Your vehicle is probably fine. You'll know when you have the problem when your vehicle tries to start but doesn't turn over. Let it go for a little until it stops and it'll start the second time. On my vehicle it didn't start happening until I hit 70,000 miles and the two times I had a stall it was when I hit the brakes to slow down (on ramp corner and a week later slowing down on an off ramp). Each time the vehicle restarted once I had stopped.
