tire pressure vs. computer

Anyone notice a difference in what your actual tire pressure is and what is shown on the dash from the computer? My WK2 shows all 4 tires at 37psi. My air gauge shows 30psi on all tires. Anyone else?

Yeah, there's always a difference. The sensors are close but not 100% accurate. There will always be differences between air gauges too. That may be what you're seeing even though that seems like quite a difference.

mine have been surprisingly close, the air gauge I have measures to the .1 and seems to be a decent one. 3 of the tires match the gauge and 1 tire shows 1 pound lower. I wont complain about those numbers that's better than any other car I have had.

If you are off by 7 lbs you may want to try a new gauge that's an awful lot, they are usually off some but that's a lot

LOL... I had my TPMS screaming one morning last fall when we had the first huge drop in temps. I had about a 10psi drop... from 36 to 26.

i would say your gauge needs replacing the oem sensors are pretty much spot on with each gauge i have used.

Yup. Same for me.

I've used 2 different Slime brand gauges from my local autoparts and both almost matched the oem sensors. I dropped my first one and it broke so now i use the air gauge and i'm confident my tires are not low. Check em about once a month.

Mine have been pretty accurate too. Maybe +/- 1psi difference at most

I had a similar issue using a "parts store" digital gauge [not an accutire] , but then I bought a Michelin MN-4535B Digital Programmable Tire Gauge
and the difference completely disappeared.

I have 2015 GC Altitude I set tires with pressure gauge at 36 but vehicle pressure system shows 34 psi so mine is off by 2lbs , I not sure but there my be a reset for this.
