Hello,

I have a 2014 gc and my pia of a jet ski trailer has a short again and blew the fuse in my jeep. Found the fuse its a 20amp in spot F29 under the hood with all the other fuses. Now comes the fun part, the auto store i stopped at said they never saw one this size before and did not have it. Went to the jeep dealer, nope they told me to drive to one 10 miles away to find one that they had it in stock.

On the fence about this car and this just adds to it. wtf would you design it with this fuse this way, must be a way to make more money for jeep.

Anyways, does anyone know of any places that stock this or suggestions? Cannot get to another jeep dealer today so thought I would post it to see if anyone had any tips on places to get it. Can't wait to see the cost lol. My trailer did this to my honda, but thankfully that fuse was standard one you could buy in any store.

Two dealers - totally clueless. Hmm we don't have it was their response
Peep boys
Advanced auto
Auto zone

No one had them said they have not seen them this small. Guess I call jeep customer care again.

It's a little stupid that their own dealers cannot find the part.

Yes.

I verified no light on my plug adapter after my lights would not work on the trailer. I pulled the fuse and can see where it's not connected.

Going to redo my wiring on the trailer as I think there is a short somewhere. But stil need spare fuses.

It looks to be either a M case or J case fuse.

I had a similar issue where I blew one of the trailer turn signal fuses, but I was able to swap in the rear cargo 12v outlet fuse to get by. had not noticed the running lights use yet another special fuse... wonderful!

Good luck.

What did they charge you for it? I'm debating ordering up a couple of spares online but the cost of shipping can be as much or more than the fuses.

Have had the same issue with this dumb fuse...autozone, o'rileys etc say they have never seen this type fuse. Went to the dealership today. Parts guy brought out what he said fits (same as pics posted earlier). I had the old blown one and it is was obviously different. Basically just taller. When I said it was different I was told the fuse he gave me was an updated version. It was $4.00 so I bought it. Not sold on it being correct. In my opinion it does not seat properly in the fuse box.

Thanks for the part number! That will come in handy one of these days as much as I tow!
Have you considered adding an in line fuse on your trailers harness? Use a 15a fuse and it should blow before the funky one in the Jeep.
