Just took my 2011 Jeep GC in for service the TSB for tranny Shudder has been updated to a recall. Got it back in 3hrs all problems seem to have been fixed.

Re: Tranny Shudder

I am going in for state inspection next month. Please tell me more about your shudder. Is it up shift or down shift? What speed? I have heard nothing from dealer about a recall. Thanks.

Re: Tranny Shudder

I still have the shudder on mine, 5/10 build date even after the tsb update. Mine is between 40-60mph and anywhere around 1200- 1500rpm. I have an oil change on tues so any info on what you had done or where recall info is located would be great, maybe this one will work

Re: Tranny Shudder

Mine has had a sever shudder since six weeks of ownership. It's been in four times now and has had the torque converter replaced once and the TSB software update done twice and it didn't fix the shudder. I'll update you when I get it back from this repair attempt. I was told hopefully tomorrow? I do know the torque converter was replaced again as well as some clutch component. Im currently in a Durango remtal and it is smooth as butta, I actually enjoy driving it compared to my JGC. It's a night and day difference between it and my JGC. Hopefully it gets fixed this time as I really the vehicle and all it's bells and whistles.

Re: Tranny Shudder

I have the same issue. No TSB has been performed as the dealer insists "it's normal, they're all like that". As much as I love this car (2012 overland) this shudder problem is making it harder to do so.

Re: Tranny Shudder

The recall code is Rapid response code 11-038 PCM TCM Improvement What that all means I don't know . My problem was a shudder at slow speed usually when the truck was slowly moving when you took your foot off the accelerator it felt like the truck jumped back up to another gear. It also happened when merging onto the highway and you took your foot of the accelerator once you got up to speed I could feel a shudder in the peddles. The fix also has cured the dead spot in the accelerator everyone talks about. Hope this helps.

Re: Tranny Shudder

One reason I asked is because I thought this was a problem found in the 8 and morty has the 6.
