Transmission/Diff slipping after stopping and then accelerating

Hi All,

This is a hard one to explain.

After stopping (such as pulling up at traffic lights), the vehicle will seem to have a slight slip in the transmission/diff when you accelerate normally.

It is a slight, but noticeable slipping sensation like wet clutch (not crutch).

Anyone able to shed light on the issue?

Cheers,

Mark

Mine does this too. More notable on an incline from a stop to go. This is normal operation for the working of the transmission / transfer case.

Re: Transmission/Diff slipping after stopping and then accelerating

Was wondering about this. I am getting a full-on juddering from the rear (felt more on the right, but that could be because being right hand drive, I feel the sensation more there) when I accelerate from a full, or near full stop, and especially uphill.

This in a '99 Grand Cherokee Limited.

I recently had the rear suspension fixed.
