Transmission quirks?l

I had TSB 18-035-11 done and shifting between 1 and 2nd gear seems to be smoother. There are a few other quirks, and I am wondering if these symptons are normal for this 5-speed transmission with the Hemi.

1) At times, when cruising between about 30 to 40 MPH, if I take my foot off the accelerator, there seems to be a drag on the engine. This actually helps slow the car down without using the brakes, but I am wondering if it is normal. It does not happen at highway speeds.

2) When entering the freeway under hard acceleration, the initial downshift to lower gear is rather abrupt and harsh.

3) At times, when starting from a dead stop, there seems to be a very slight slip in the transmission.

None of the above is serious, but just wondering if others are experiencing any of them.

Re: Transmission quirks?l

1. Normal operation.
2. It's a Hemi, it wants to go.
3. Yes, to make it nice (smooth) for everyone to drive it does slip shift.

Now if any of these items above are excessive and you feel they are not normal I would take it in. They all do exist in your Jeep though, to a slight extent.
