There was a delay when going into reverse I took it to an independent trans shop and they found the problem. The dealer told me it was normal. I went back to the dealer with pictures, the bill from the trans shop, and a notice that shows that this is a known problem. FCA refused to pay the bill. They said that the diagnosis and work had to be done at a dealer for it to be covered under the drivetrain warranty. Just another thing on a long list of issues I have with FCA.

Re: Transmission Slipping

Mine does this when it is cold in the mornings....tranmission is slow to upshift. Once warmed up a little it behaves normally.

Re: Transmission Slipping

Well, I finally got the local dealership to experience the fault by leaving the vehicle overnight and calling in the next morning - I should buy a lottery ticket - the one in about twenty times that it plays up occurred with the head service technician sitting beside me.
He had to lean over to make sure I'd released the parking brake! The engine revved and the car made very little forward motion.
They have managed to extract some data from the car's computer system to send to Jeep Aust and get instructions about what to do next.
I'll post here when I find out what the solution is.
