Re: TSB Numbers for 14 WK2 Issues
I contacted Chrysler, they told me to expect a call, one never came. I also was told by the dealer to expect a call the following day after my initial complaint that the work didn't get done. That call never came either.
So I called the dealer, and talked to the service adviser assigned to the vehicle. He apologized, and kept repeating no update is available for the vehicle. He also pointed to the vin and build date and said it didn't apply to the vehicle. I reminded him its for all 5.7 vehicles built before October, and his retort was the tech said there was no update available. He also said if their was an update, of course they would have done it, they are paid by Chrysler to do so.
When I asked how a vehicle built before the date on the tsb doesn't have a software update available, when it has no record of an update being done, I was told "not sure, I don't know what to tell you." I asked for the software build that is currently on the vehicle, he said he didn't have that info. When I asked if I could bring it back in and get that info, he told me it would be a few weeks before he had an opening.
So that's where this stands. He also mentioned Chrysler called him and he told Chrysler no update is available per the info they got when the vehicle was hooked up. The software update is secondary at this point, my big issue is the dealer couldn't call me back when they said they would, and Chrysler failed to do the same. (Their email clearly stated they would be contacting me, I have heard zero from Chrysler/Jeep)
Based on this experience, I doubt another Jeep product will be on the horizon. It is a simple TSB. If there is no update, don't claim the vin and build date don't coincide. Have the current build of the software noted. And call a customer back when you say you will. What a joke...
