TSB out for DCTM - Bump Felt in the Driveline

They issued a TSB today for the DCTM which corrects the low speed bump that some of us feel once in a while in low speed situations. Usually I can interpret these TSBs ok but this one I am having a little trouble figuring out if it applies or not. so it applies to "QUADRA-TRAC II 4WD System or Two Speed On Demand Transfer Case" So my jeep has Qudra drive not Qudra Trac but what about the Two Speed On Demand Transfer Case is that part of quadra drive or something else? just trying to figure out if this applies or not.
The low speed bump is not something that I would have ever complained about but it is there and if there is a fix for it now will have them do it when I am in for something else next time. thanks

Both Quadra-Trac II (DKA) and Quadra-Drive II (AWB) use the MP3023 2-speed transfer case. QDII adds the ELSD.

Thanks for the reply MD, I was a little confused by how they had that stated in the TSB. so sound like that would apply to a 5.7 summit then. will put it on the list for the next visit.

Yeah, they could've worded that better. Your dealer can verify for sure whether that applies to your vehicle.

Re: TSB out for DCTM - Bump Felt in the Driveline

I had this DCTM TSB done today, in and out of the dealer in less than half an hour that has to be a record. Finding a good dealer makes all the difference. It fixed the low speed bump that some of the early builds like mine had.

So they have come out with some good flashes recently and having them all on mine now I would recommend them next time you are in as they have cleared up several lingering issues especially on the earlier builds.

HVAC Flash
BCM Flash
DCTM Flash

So true...so true.

Getting the dealerships in my area to perform TSB flashes is like getting blood from a stone.

The only success I've had is to first call Chrysler Customer Care, and have them find a dealership who will perform the work.

Re: TSB out for DCTM - Bump Felt in the Driveline

I feel the clunk/lurch/bump at low speed (less than 10 mph, usually right after startup and transmission is cold), but haven't noticed it while turning. Closest dealership isn't a fan of doing TSBs. Has anyone else had the clunk while NOT in turns? If so, what did you tell the dealership to have them perform the TSB?

Mine did it right after taking foot off brake and starting to move slowly it did it turning or not didnt seem to matter.

Its not anything to do with your transmission shifting so make sure that is not what you are feeling.

Tell dealer you have a low speed bump in the drive line and there is a fix for it and give them a copy of the tsb. Good luck

Re: TSB out for DCTM - Bump Felt in the Driveline

Instead of going in and asking for a tsb to be performed, tell them what your problem is (use the same language as in the tsb) and tell them you think this may be known issue or there may be a tsb from what you read on it. Dealer techs will usually find the right tsb and apply it, given the correct symptoms and in the case of computer updates will apply them even if they can't duplicate the issue just to be right with corporate.
