Great feature, especially if you're backing down a 150' driveway with a bike rack in the trailer hitch.

Quite the presumptuous post.

So you've NEVER unbuckled your seat belt while a vehicle is in motion, even as a passenger for a brief moment??

Disabling the stupid 'nanny' chime is the first thing I do in my vehicles. I wear a seat belt and insist that my passengers wear seat belts, but there is always a brief exception to the rule and I don't need the damn vehicle nagging me for the person to re-fasten their seat belt.

OR as in the case of the original poster, say you stop at the end of your driveway to get the mail. You really don't need to fasten your seat belt to drive 30 yards to your garage, and you definitely don't need the damn chime going off for the next few minutes.
If it takes several minutes to go 30 yards to the end of your driveway, you might want to check to make sure that the vehicle is in gear and has fuel--or just wait for plate tectonics to bring your mailbox to you.

So it chimes. Big deal.

Now, that stupid "key fob has left vehicle" chime....I want that thing dead, dead dead.... If anyone can figure out how to safely disable that stupid, stupid warning, you'd be doing a real service to humanity.

The other one I would like to override is the backup warning beeps. Most of the time, I like to have them on, but occasionally I wish I could hit a button to silence them on a case by case basis.
Glue your key fob under the dash?

It would be nice to have something you could put on the sides of your garage doors that would send a signal "I'm a damn door, I ain't moving, and I'm gonna be right here every time you back out, so put a sock in it"

Personally I'd settle for just being able to change them to real sonar pings.

I always disable that stupid alarm on Amy vehicle I'm driving. I don't need a reminder and I always take my belt off when I pull into a parking deck. Doubt I am in extreme danger at 10mph circling round and round.
