As for the UConnect stuff it is a small pain in comparison to the overall vehicle but it WILL get resolved.
Thanks will. It's awesome. Ironically as I'm driving now the messaging button is active on the screen. Gremlins

Re: Uconnect and Cell phone considerations to ponder

"Since you are using the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD can you tell the forum if the phone has the S Voice system included? "

No S Voice on the Razr Maxx HD. Some kind of Google voice command thing. I've done a couple of searches and dialed a few call with it but really don't use voice command much. Seemed to work okay for those things. About the only time I use voice command to dial is through UConnect when driving.

Re: Uconnect and Cell phone considerations to ponder

Verizon's new data plans all include free hotspot, at least for iPhones. I just purchased one for an employee yesterday. The question is, how do we get the uconnect using it?

"S Voice" is a Samsung thing.

Re: Uconnect and Cell phone considerations to ponder

Siri works in my car over Bluetooth perfectly. To be honest, I've been very impressed with the way uconnect works with my iPhone. I was expecting to be disappointed because I am hard to please when it comes to electronics.

If you ran IMAP during the IOS 6 upgrade you were locked without deleting and recreating the account. Feel free to check the apple and Google forums.

There is also random disconnect still for IMAP users.

I only speak facts.

I can also say the exchange in Android ICS crashed a lot but they fixed that pretty fast.

That is good to know. Let us know when U find out how to use it with Uconnect. Verizon apparently found that the Nexus Android phones were being rooted so dumped them a free widgets were being downloaded that got around their WIFI system that was programmed through their Menu and caused their user to be charged minutes and byts on their ltd data plans. I hope what you say about Verizon including a free hotspot is not just a come on which once their customers get hooked, they will up the price of their plans.

Figure out where the tower is and height is the key. Make sure your internal antenna is as close as possible to straight below bit 5 feet higher can make all the difference in the world.

3 miles should be no problem likely height is the issue, you need line of sight.
