UConnect and Unread Messages

I have recently come across an issue with the UConnect messaging notifications. Every time a get a new text message on my phone UConnect says I have 5 unread text messages even though I have 0 unread. I have gone into my phone and deleted all messages and even unpaired then repaired my phone. When I repair I still see old messages that are no longer on my phone within the UConnect messaging section.

Has anyone ran into this in the past or know how to clear the messages on UConnect? Not sure if it is related, but I started noticing this issue right after my UConnect subscription expired?

***FIXED: This was driving me crazy, but I found a fix. You have to unpair your phone from the UConnect system and also unpair/delete UConnect from your phone. Once you do this you have completely unpaired your phone and you can then go back into UConnect and add a device. Once you re-pair the phone will ask permission for UConnect to read your contacts and messages. This re-syncs your contacts and messages and cleared up my problem. (I am using a Galaxy S5) Hope this helps anyone that may be experiencing this***

UConnect and Unread Messages

I've noticed this too. Uconnect doesn't do a very good job determining if messages are old or new. Uconnect will also continue reporting and reading messages that you've deleted off your phone a day or so prior. It somehow must save old messages within itself regardless of what's on the phone.

It seems to take Uconnect a day or so to "catch up" with whatever deletions you make to SMS on your phone. Doesn't really bother me since I don't receive that much SMS anyway. Certainly not worth deleting and repairing the phone for.

This applies to Uconnect via the older 430n and 730n head units. I have no idea how the newer units perform in this regard.
