Uconnect music issue

So I've got a strange issue with my whole aux/USB/Bluetooth connectivity lately. For some reason my USB port stopped working for music playback, but it works for charging capabilities. If I start playing music through my phone (starting to wonder if this is some bug with iOS 10) it plays through my phone speakers but when going to media->USB on u connect it is showing the song and album artwork and everything, just not playing through my car. Connecting via Bluetooth works fine but then if I plug my phone in to charge at the same time it won't let me connect music via Bluetooth. Only thing I have yet to try is connecting both USB so I can charge and then playback through aux, but I prefer using my USB so I can have it all in one cable plus it gives the album image on the screen. Any help would be much appreciated...

Re: Uconnect music issue

What about charging from one of the USB ports on the back of the center console. They are charge only so shouldn't interfere.

If the phone fits in the console there is a notch for the cable.

I'm only suggesting this as a work around until you can identify the real problem.

Nope, the back of my console doesn't have any USB ports just a normal outlet. I suppose charging from there should allow me to at least play music via Bluetooth or aux but it's still an inconvenience

Re: Uconnect music issue

iOS 10.0.2 came out this morning, first bug fix noted in the update was an issue fixed with headphone connectivity. Uconnect works now!

Sorry about that. I thought all the Grand Cherokees had them by the rear heater vents.
