UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

I have an HTC Droid Incredible. When I get into the Overland and try to connect, it often takes a minute or two. It eventually connects. When I leave the Jeep and then come back, I try reconnecting and it is finicky. It eventually connects after I play around for a minute or two. My Blue ANT Bluetooth which I bought a few months ago connects instantaneously. I hate to have to use the Blue ANT when the Uconnect should work better. Any suggestions?

Re: UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

Which unit are you using? 430? 430N? 730N? The 730N at least (maybe the 430N as well) is getting software updates in another month or so that should improve compatibility. Still, there's been very little in the way of compatibility issues with Android phones; the iPhone 4 has them, but that's Apple and their "If it ain't broke, break it, then blame everybody else for not keeping up."

I'd also check for an update to the phone's own software.

Re: UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

I have a 730n and have not noticed any issues with my Incredible. I use it once in a while but have had not noticed any issues.

Next time I get in I'll take a look and see how long it takes to connect.

Re: UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

I am using the 430N. It's sad that a $75 Blue Ant Bluetooth performs better than the one in my Jeep. It connects faster and can do more. Other than that, i love my V6 Overland.

Re: UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

My 430N connects to my iphone 3GS in seconds...for phone calls, I have no issues. Audio streaming is problematic but there are work arounds but SMS/texting does not work.

Same problems here. I have 430n, droid incredible, and problems. Same problems as you. Connects some times, some times it doesn't. When it does , using the phone works well. My Bluetooth streaming audio never works. (choppy , fast forward...)

Re: UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

I have 430N and iPhone 3Gs with OS 4.1. I've only had the vehicle for a day but I'm having similar problems. The phone features work fine via bluetooth but it is not recognizing it through either USB port. Bluetooth streaming audio works when the phone is in black screen but the sound quality is bad (static). When the screen on the phone is on it is doing the thing where the audio skips around. This is disappointing as it was one of the main features I was looking forward to after not even having an AUX jack on my REC nav on my 2007.

Re: UConnect problems with HTC Droid Incredible

I can't getmy Incredible to connect consistently - only trying the phone. Took it to Jeep and they said it's not on the list of tested/compatible phones... I'm going to upgrade to the iPhone when Verizon releases it - throwing good money after bad??? Not sure what "soon" means when they say therre is an update coming and I can't get a person at Chrysler re: UConnect - and they do not answer e-mails... I guess I spent a fortune to add the uconnect and now another small one on a new phone...
