Ugh!!

Is anyone else experiencing their doors freezing shut? And the gas cap!!!! (Can't put gas in the tank, it won't open, and the rear power lift gate!! They are all frozen!! :-( and when I start the car in the morning, the air suspension usually raises from the park position as it sets itself there overnight, (I think) , as it rises, the entire SUV shakes excessively and makes all kinds of grinding noises!!(which of course, aren't good!). Is anyone else having trouble like this? It's getting irritating!! Haha! Thank-You!

Re: Ugh!!

Sounds to me that you live where it is constant blowing, freezing rain.

Re: Ugh!!

...with silicone spray.

I used to live there and you have to prepare yourself as well as your vehicle.
  • 30 below washer fluid, and an extra gallon in the trunk
  • lubricate all locks with graphite
  • 2 bags of sand in the back, preferably in a covered plastic bin
  • At least two ice scrapers, one with a snow brush
  • I used to carry a push broom to remove snow from my old truck
  • two cans of spray de-icer
  • coal shovel
  • extra coat and blankets, boots, wool hat and gloves
  • never let your tank get less than half empty
Of course, a heated garage is a near necessity.
