Updated FW to 2.1 Now A/C and Auto = BROKE

Updated the software running the NAV and Radio in my '11 Overland GC to 2.126
using http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0805312.pdf (dealership did this)

Now I am noticing an issue with my AC and the 'auto' button immediately following the update

If I turn on the AC it turns off Auto and puts me in manual fan mode

If I hit the auto button it turns off the AC

Any other reports of this happening? - Does the software update even have anything to do with these controls? I thought this was a separate microprocessor or part of the jeeps main computer that controlled these settings and I thought the update only applied to the 730n RHR radio?
Am I correct on that? If so - what would be causing the A/C auto issue?

Any chance of a TSB out there? My dealership is pretty clueless on these vehicles - They didn't know there was a software update to the radio and I had to find the TSB to give to them

Can't say for sure about the new climate control systems, but this sounds like it could be normal behavior...at least it is for the WKs.

When in full auto, the AC light is not lit up on my 2005 (since the system determines whether to turn the AC on or not). If on manual, the AC light will toggle on or off as I press it.

I swear it didn't do this yesterday.... it was warm (in FL 85 degrees) but in auto and the AC light didn't turn on... I will play around with more again today, it was an extra long day at work yesterday... so anythings possible

Your AC operation sounds normal to me, when you press A/C you are telling the system you want to manually override and force A/C operation. When you press auto it reverts to automatic, which may or may not need A/C to maintain the set temperature. I don't think the AC indicator illuminates in auto mode as the compressor is always active.
I swear the light was on before... even my wife made a comment without me asking her... thats why I feel like im not going completely crazy...

I'll know in a few hours when I get into it, and if it cools down then I guess were good - whether thats how it was before or not i guess we wont know

I may have been mistaken, manual says:

1. A/C Button
Press and release to change the current Air Conditioning (A/C) setting, the indicator illuminates when A/C is ON. Performing this function will cause the ATC to switch into manual mode.

• If the system is in Mix, Floor or Defrost Mode, the A/C can be turned off, but the A/C system shall remain active to prevent fogging of the windows.
