Vibration / Buzzing while Accelerating and Turning

Hello all,

Got a 2015 WK2 about 2 months ago. 2,700 miles.

While accelerating in a right turn, there is intermittent buzzing / vibration. It's almost like a tire rubbing on a fender, but at a higher frequency. It seems to be coming from the front left of the car / behind the steering wheel.

Its related to wheel speed, not engine speed (can't do it in park).

Only on right turns. It also only happens if you're accelerating - coasting through a turn is no problem. You can even stop, turn the wheel, and step on the gas and it will do it.

Thanks for any ideas!

For anyone else who might have the same problem, it was a problem with a heat shield.

Hi,

I have something like that which occurs on acceleration (sometimes) onto a highway. It comes from behind the steering wheel/instrument panel and it sounds like a buzzzzz. After 20-30 seconds, it usually stops. In many cases, it will not come back for weeks.

Which heat shield was the culprit?

Thanks,

-Larry

I never found out exactly which heatshield it was. But the buzzing from mine only lasted less than a second each time.
