Has Chrysler actually been in contact with your attorney?
I won't pay out of pocket for any troubleshooting efforts. It's bad enough that I've already made two payments with a third next week.

Yes, Chrysler attorneys have contacted my attorney. I continue to send my attorney updates on everything as it happens. He is still requesting the paperwork that I can't seem to get out of either dealer. I want to call corporate to get it, but I can't when I told to stay away

Well. I finally resolved my Jeep issues. That is - by going back to a trusty Ram.

My dealership agreed to buy the J GC back and I got a 2014 Ram Sport. Couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this resolution.

Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee summit

Update on my saga...

I feel like I just got kicked in the teeth. My lawyer finally got a response from Jeep's attorneys. They offered me $1,000 for my troubles. Needless to say, I declined and countered with "buy it back".

I'm literally sick to my stomach over this. 6,800+ miles and still no change in the vibration. I don't know what else I can do.

Thoughts?

What does your attorney suggest . Do you have all the work orders for when the Jeep was brought back each time?

Be peristant and don't give up . I assume the Chrysler attorneys are just testing the waters to see if you will take the $1000.00

Attorney is going back with "buy it back, again". He said if that doesn't work, then we will have to file in court, which could take 12-18 months.

No, I don't have the paperwork. That's half the issue. The last two times I've taken it to the dealer, they have brought the car back to me at my job. Neither time have they provided me with the papers. I've asked and asked and asked for it, but never get anywhere with this dealer.

They are essentially holding $45,000 hostage. I should have kept my paid off Edge w/ 120k miles and less issues.

Didn't read your whole story, but if you're currently going through the lemon law procces I can tell you this. I've gone through 2 of them with Chrysler. One being a 2006 Ram with the same issue. You must remain bold with your attorney that you will not accept those weak offers. You are ready to wait it out as long as needed to have your day in court. It will take time, year and half or better with Chrysler. You will eventually go to a non binding arbitration. You will get a better offer and then decide. If you stay the course you will succeed. In most states you have the better hand despite what your lawyer tells you while trying to just get you to settle. Remember they dont get paid unless you succeed in many states (not sure where you're from) among other things that are on your side like mileage etc.

Don't worry about the paperwork. Just make sure you keep a log of visits. The paperwork games they play will benefit you in court if it gets that far. Your lawyer can and will get paperwork during the process. Another game dealers play is keeping those visits "opened" and not closing out receipts making 2 or 3 visits look like one. Check your state laws regarding whether or not they must provide you with a receipt. Keep records of your efforts in trying to get receipts.

I'm in Ohio...

I'll ride it out for a while, but honestly, all I want is a car that works properly. I can't even trade this in. If the dealer took this for a ride on the freeway, they would notice the issue, not to mention I would lose my rear in value.

I have everything, including my salesman messaging me on Facebook telling me "if you don't stop posting negative things about my work, we are not going to help you. Your call, bro!"

If you have the dates it went in for service, your attorney would be able to get those records from the dealer--presuming they created service records. If they did not, it might appear to an unbiased observer that your dealer was intentionally NOT creating them, where your attorney might have an interesting chat with the Jeep ones.

My vehicle that I traded in was also a Ford Edge and it was better than the Jeep.
My new vehicle has water retention in the air conditioning system , the windows fog up and now if I put on the AC it smells . The 8.4 now displays there is a phone issue that flashes the screen randomly.

You just have to remember the most important thing and you'll see things clearer. Chrysler is playing a percentage game. They're betting you will give up and just settle. They come up with this because unfortunately 90% of people do. They will just drag it out as long as they can because in the end they're saving a lot of money doing so. Fortunately, the laws are on your side. You just have to wait it out while they deny anything being wrong.
