Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee summit

I feel for you guys. Just so you know, the vehicle can work. I have a November build Overland V8, 4X4 with 20" wheels and the Goodyears and there is no vibration or shimmy at any speed, period. I drive the turnpike to and from work every day with speeds varying from 60 to 80mph.

If this was happening to me, I'd also continue to pursue the lemon law or buy back solution.

Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee summit

My build was in October and when I received it the first thing I did was remove the Goodyear Fortera tires and I put a V-rated performance tire on the handling is much improved .

Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee limited diesel

Just brought my 2014 grand cherokee limited diesel to the dealer for a vibration really noticable at speeds over 60 mph. Seems like it is coming from driver side wheel. Sounds like something rubbing hear humming sound and feel some vibration on the wheel. The jeep dealer stated there is a star case and figured solution was power steering fluid adding 1 pint. This did not resolve issue. Going back to dealer. Anyone else out there have suggestions?

Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee summit

I thought most of the problems with vibration were the earlier production dates .

Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee summit

The vibration coming from the drivers side wheel is something I experienced today when picking up my new 2014 Summit. It happened when in park and when moving at low speed. Do you have problems under 60?

You have a vibration when in park. I have not experienced this .
Does it feel like its related to engine rpm ?

Where do you feel the vibration? In your butt? Your feet?

Not sure, but they did the following on mine last week and now the issues are even worse:
- Replaced the hub assembly in all 4 wheels
- Replaced the Fortera w/ Eagles
- Road force balance
- Reprogrammed transfer care

In addition to the vibration issues, I also had issue where if I locked the car, at random times after, the car alarm would go off. They replaced the hood latch as it fried.

And... (I feel like I'm at a drive thru) my radio display locks up on both Sirius and Nav. They ordered a new radio but I was told it would be a few weeks.

This is the most frustration thing I've ever dealt with in my life. After driving this thing 1,400 miles to/from Cleveland - Myrtle Beach, SC last week, a trip to Canton coming up this weekend, Cincinnati a couple weeks after, Columbus the following and Louisville 2 weeks after Columbus, I need a resolution. I cannot and will not deal with this shaking car any longer. It has almost 10,000 miles, 3 different dealers have looked at this for a total of 6-7 times now, my frustration is through the roof and I'm about to blow a gasket myself.

I absolutely DO NOT want this car any longer and it's falling on deaf ears. I'm ready to start contacting news stations in the Cleveland area.

Re: Vibration in the 2014 grand cherokee summit

Did you contact Chrysler/Jeep yourself to open a case . They will give you a case number.
That is what I did after (8) times to the dealer for the vibration.
My replacement Jeep is much better except the front end was out of alignment when I picked it up and the 8.4 audio/nav/phone system states it has an issue.
I guess that's what we get out of Detroit
