Better to shop at Wegman's and pay more for gas.

I couldn't find anything in the manual about the lights coming on when you walk up. This is very weird almost like a feature that doesn't work but there is nothing in the manual about it.

I found the feature, but what Jeep calls it is a bit misleading.

"Headlight Illumination On Approach
This feature activates the headlights for up to 90 seconds
when the doors are unlocked with the RKE transmitter.
The time for this feature is programmable on vehicles
equipped through Uconnect®. To change the current
setting, refer to “Uconnect® Settings” in “Understanding
Your Instrument Panel” for further information."

And;

"ILLUMINATED ENTRY — IF EQUIPPED
The courtesy lights will turn on when you use the
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter to unlock the
doors or open any door.
This feature also turns on the approach lighting in the
outside mirrors (if equipped)."

I saw this in the manual, here's the thing they all say unlock there is no unlocking happening here by me or the car. You know when you hit the unlock button when the car is already unlocked it will try to unlock the doors any way that doesn't happen when this happens. Also it doesn't matter which key fob I use, what I mean by this if I were to unlock the car with my wife key the seat would start to move to her position when I make this happen the seat doesn't move it just turns the lights on. It is just seeing a key and saying turn the lights on that's all just not all the time only when I stand there and shake the fob.
