Walking up to my Jeep and!

So I have had my Jeep since July and this has never happened. I walked up to my Jeep to put in the garage this evening and when I got about three feet away the lights and puddle lights came on like I hit the unlock button witch I didn't. So the question is this thing supposed to be doing this because if it is that would be very nice, but it would also mean mine only does once every 3 to 4 months witch would suck.

Nope they unlock when you touch the door handles. Not sure what happened there.

**edit unless there's some sort of approach lights I'm not aware of.

I think there's a setting to turn on lights when you approach the truck.

Re: Walking up to my Jeep and!

There is a setting in the EVIC that says something like "Lights on Approach". I never selected it, but I wonder if that's what it is. And, if you have been following this forum, you know the features can turn themselves on and off at will.

Re: Walking up to my Jeep and!

I swear mine did something like that ONCE. Can't recall exactly, but it was a voodoo moment.

Could be an OTA update just finished and it just woke up for second.

Maybe it started to work with the last update. I just did it a few days ago.

Re: Walking up to my Jeep and!

Yea I remember a "lights on approach" option or similar. I wonder if that's it. Mine doesn't do that but I turn all that stuff off personally. Gotta love choices

If U have keyless ING. keep key fob on your person walk up to car, grab door handle it will unlock all locks. When u leave car hit small button on handle it will lock down car, small button will also unlock all locks.
