Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

Just a note but with the $100 deductible, most of the differences between maxcare and added care plus look to be a wash or less for anyone who is mechanically ept.

The question I have is do these replace the existing factory warrenty or are they in addition to ? (e.g. does the deductable appy immediately or after the 3/36 and 5/100 expire ?

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

The deductible starts after the manufacturer's warranty is over. The rental car provision, towing and trip interruption protection starts immediately.

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

I purchsed Chrysler's extnded warrenty 5yr/100,000 mile which is transferrable if you sell or trade. I can upgrade to 7yr/100,000 mile or to life time but life time is not transferrable. Talk to Chrysler warrenty people get the number from the dealer. Maggie

Of course I'm more worried about the q-lift and other items that I know could easily add up.

So what kind of warranty options are there? What's the fair pricing?

Thanks for any help!

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

Whether lifetime is transferrable or not depends on where you live. In Florida it can be transferred.

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

I'm still waiting to see what the 2014 "really" looks like. If it truly is as hideous as the spy shots I'll be purchasing something. Probably end up waiting till October to pull the trigger on it ... as that is just before my 3/36 falls off and just before the prices increase.

I'm still not sure if I'll go with lifetime or not. The odds of me keeping this truck forever are slim... but 5/100 only gives me two more years of coverage. I like the idea of the 7/100 being transferable. I guess I'll have to run the numbers.

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

FYI, Eservicecontracts no longer offers a discount. When you try to submit for a quote online it says the website is no longer available. I called and talked to Stacy and she said they still sell warranties but can no longer offer disounts, they have to sell them for the same price as any dealership.

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

Interesting, wonder what happened.

The other site (Chrysler extended warranty, Factory backed extended warranties for Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles) is still operating.

Their pricing isn't as good as the old eservicecontracts site; however, it is still better than what the dealer was offering for me when I purchased (i.e. I paid $1900 for lifetime, the price with chryslerwarrantys was around $2100 and the dealer was offering $2500) ... I just checked and their price is now $2456 (takes into consideration the 1 Nov increase in price).

The value of the dollar took a dump, simple economics.

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

Agree, I remember the dollar being worth a lot more than either the Canadian dollar or the Euro. Massive debt is often accompanied by massive inflation. Look at what is going on in Cyprus. I have Monopoly sets with currencies that collapsed.

This is one reason I bought the Chrysler-backed lifetime warrenty. $100 deductable won't change. Wheelbarrows anyone ?

Re: Warranty Pricing???? Help!

I've tried three different places attempting to get a price quote on a Chrysler extended warranty by email, but no one has given me one so far. They all want me to "Call Them".

Basicly all I want is a warranty that acts like the 3 yr bumper to bumper...but extended to 5 yrs 60,000 miles.
