I bought my Jeep from a dealer that is about 20 miles from my house. There is another dealer (larger dealer) that's about 2 miles from my house. I ended up not buying the Jeep from the larger dealer as they couldn't meet the price i needed.
If i need warranty service on the Jeep, is it appropriate to take the jeep to the dealer that i didnt buy it from for warranty service?
Yes, although my experience is that they ask you if you bought the vehicle from them when you schedule any appointments for warranty work. It may or may not affect how soon you can have the vehicle looked over.
I ended up buying my Summit 60 miles form the house because of pricing and selection. The dealership near my house is happy to take my warranty work. Like mentioned above, they get paid by Chrysler to do warranty work...
